Brightness number settings different between unlocked model & branded AT&T

I noticed on my girlfriends unlocked note 3 that her brightness setting has actual values to the right of the slider, while my at&t version does not. Anyone know if this is a setting that you can enable? I couldn't find it.

CORRECTED:
My factory European model has a digital readout, to the left of the auto tick box. from - 5, 0, to + 5.
If missing it must be carrier based.

I don't have the option of an offset slider even. ...I am on att.
