Brightness Settings Problem with Sensation 4g

Im having problem with my sensation 4g. Every time I set the display brightness to any setting (including automatic) the phone changes it back to full brightness at random times! Any thoughts on how to get it to stay on the setting I chose!? Some times it will stay at that setting for a while, but randomly changes it back to the full brightness default. Any thoughts!?

Happening to me too. I have no idea if it's an app doing this or an Android problem.

Whenever you use an app that changes the display brightness (i.e. camera, barcode scanner, starbucks coffee card, etc) it does not return back to the previous set brightness. There is nothing you can do about it, unless you are rooted. The custom kernels had addressed this issue, the official HTC kernel did not, even with the update at 2.3.4.
