Broken glass lens on rear camera.

Does anyone know how or where I can get a new glass lens for my rear camera? Mine shattered today and I don't quite know how. Also does anyone know if I will need to take apart the entire phone to replace it?

I was able to find this. I think this is a replacement lens but we will see when it gets here.

Sorry for the delay. What I did was break out the original glass lens and remove all debris. The I got the new glass lens and dabbed it with just a little bit of glass glue and put it on. It was very simple. Took less then 2 minutes.

Hi I'm seeing the lens replacement on ebay but it says its for the korean F240 version...did the one you purchase say this as well? I have the American E980 (At&T) one.

It's not a perfect fits, but fits close enough. You won't be able to use the plastic bezel, so pry yours off carefully. Pop off the bezel, use a razor ro lift off the old lens over a trash can, clean it all with a small brush, an stick the new lens on. It has an adhesive back.

If anyone who has done this repair with this replacement part has time to answer, can you please post--what kind of modification is necessary to this part to make it fit the E980?

On the ebay listing someone asked the seller if it would fit the E980 model and the seller says it won't. I would imagine that is to CYA for the seller. Yet, I've read here and elsewhere that others have modified the part to fit, but they don't give much detail as to what or how they did it.

Stupid question..but - all I want and need is the glass piece that covers the camera. Is this what we are talking about? All the pictures look like the the bezel\camera housing
