(I was rather idiotically waiting for the question to move over to Windows but I now plainly see that I could answer it here. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer.)
Are the pictures backed up anywhere?

We cannot move threads to wpc.

Have you tried to connect the phone to a pc? You can sync with the computer.

Are the pictures on internal memory or sd card?
