I've not seen any posts referencing this so apologies if it has been brought up elsewhere.
I am suddenly experiencing sudden browser (stock browser) crashes ever since the 3.2 update. I am running stock, unrooted. It doesn't matter what site, happens everywhere (even here). Anyone else having this issue?

I do have some issues with it but not too often and its not repeatable seems to be random. I do think the browser that ships with the android tablet could be much better then it is now. That being said there are many other choices out there for browsing the web. Opera and dolphin HD to name a few.

Thanks, BD. Mine goes for a day with no problems, but then for the next two days, it crashes about 20% of the time, which is far too much, in my opinion. Never had this problem before the update.

As for Opera and Dolphin, I have/had both. I did not like Dolphin at all and uninstalled it. Opera, which has been my preferred browser on my PCs for over 10 years now, works ok on my tablet, but clearly slower (which I find odd considering one of their claims to fame is their speed by way of how they compress through their servers). Oh well, hopefully there will be a fix soon!

I noticed the browser crash with 3.1. I had my browser just crash when I clicked on the link for this thread.

EP have you tried clearing the data and cache? Not sure if it'll do anything but you seem to have more frequent crashes than I have with the stock browser.

Maybe give Dolphin HD another shot. I'm running on my Iconia after enjoying it on my phone for a long time. I don't use all of it's features but I do like the way it handles bookmarks with the sliding sidebar.

;)

Yeah, that was the first thing I thought of (since I couldn't figure anything else out, lol) but no luck. I hate being the only one with a problem!

This has happened to me ever since I got the tablet, and I got it in May. It has happened on basically any and every site at least once for me.

For some reason, after a week, thisGA seemed to have somewhat settled down on their own. Weird! I will keep my fingers crossed.

you can try firefox its pretty smooth on the a500 but ive had the same issue with the stock browser randomly closing. i heard on appygeek that google is gonna put out chrome for android so im looking forward to that
