Browser issues and general performance lag

I'm also getting a fair amount of lag and browser issues. I've done a full reset right at the beginning. It is still jittery and laggy. Bothers me that my phone is much smoother than the TP. Since my HDMI is broken I'm exchanging and hoping for a better unit.

Have you considered just exchanging it? It sounds to me more like you received a bad unit

Yeah, I thought about it, but I've read enough about others having screen/lag problems to know its not isolated. I'd rather wait a few weeks while things shake out a little. Dropped it off at Best Buy earlier, no problems. Already have my credit back on my card. They were very accommodating.

Hmm...I went ahead and cancelled my order with Amazon for the time being. I bought the TF-101 in September, and have been nothing but EXTREMELY happy with it. BUT all these issues with the first round of the TF-201 are making me hold my horses until the bugs are worked. I want one so bad and have been waiting since I heard about it. Good luck and I hope ICS or an ASUS firmware update fixes the issues you guys are having. I'll monitor the forums...

That's not a bad position to take, especially since they're so hard to get a hold of anyway. I'm still very happy with my original Transformer too, so since I can wait, I will. Well that and the fact that I already tried and it was nothing but heart break. There's too many of these problems all over the Internet just to be a coincidence. But I have full faith that they'll work them out. And hey, who knows, not that I'm a big Acer fan, but word is there A700 is right around the corner and so too a thin and light Tegra 3 Toshiba and so on. There'll be lots of choices. I don't know that many will be able to come close to the coolness of the Prime I had, but a couple gotta come close, and again, I'm confident Asus will get things worked out, eventually.

I too had a screen issue like the first post here--I am also having a browser issue--after approx. 13 minutes of surfing the web--it force closes and then I can get right back on and then after 13 mins. or so it does it again--it just keeps happening--no other time does it do this-just while using the installed browser on the net.????

Asus keyboard and built in browser are two laggy areas. Opera or Dolphin will handily solve the laggy browser, while changing to the Android keyboard will solve the keyboard lag.
