Question Browser Window Repeatedly Closing Since Switching To Gesture Navigation

I'd never been a great fan of gesture navigation as I always found it simpler and more intuitive to use buttons.

I decided to give gestures another try though to get a bit of extra real estate on the display and a sleeker look. However I'm experiencing some weird behaviour since using gestures with the screen closing down while web browsing.

After a while when scrolling down the screen, the display will lock and when I remove my finger the window closes. It doesn't actually close the app/tab as when I go to 'Recent apps' and tap on the browser app it opens up on the page which closed.

This takes some time to start occurring after opening the browser from fresh but then the window closes more and more frequently until I have to close the browser down completely and start again.

This is when using either my primary browser Chrome Beta, Chrome stable which I only use for A-B testing against Beta, or Brave.

Anyone else ever experienced anything like this? Samsung A25, Android 14, One UI 6.0.

Thanks all.

Well I'd uninstalled Good Lock, modules etc and cache partition wiped.

As I expected the issue still occurs as it did in Safe Mode. Although it's pretty random when it occurs, as long as the frequency of it doesn't occur too much I can probably live with it as one simple tap takes me straight back to where I was.

Cheers! 🍻

This happens to me also, at certain times.

While using the Samsung Browser (with Samsung Gestures enabled) swiping up from the right side (back command) will sometimes cause the browser to just shrink down. I then have to swipe up from the left side (recents commands) & bring the browser back up.
I'm so used to it that I just swipe back & forth in rapid succession until I get back to where I wanted. I do have the visable hint option enabled so I can actually see where I'm swiping.

There's a lot of 'stuff' that pops up on the bottom of a browser screen. Maybe sometimes it's just a 'perfect storm' swipe & things go awry.
😄

Ok so now it's less frequent while uninstalling Good lock?

Probably no different really.

When the cache is cleared/phone rebooted it takes quite some while before the issue starts, then afterwards it's pretty random with the frequency it recurs.

It can be up to the best part of roughly 10 min+ or then every 30-90 sec I would say, there's no obvious pattern to it. It's literally one very quick tap to bring everything back up to where it was, fine for the former time frame but not the second.
