I have an HTC EVO V 4G. I have a D-Link DIR-825 router. WiFi speeds are fast, like browsing the internet or downloading a game.

I use ES File Explorer to browse my PC, but it's slow. All I want to do is watch a video.. or heck just scroll through some pictures on my PC. It's slow as balls!!

What settings can I try or what to do to fix this?

Some nights it's alright (not great just alright), some nights like tonight not at all.. keeps loading symbol and no files pop up. I managed to browse a picture or two before, but it takes them a good 10 or 15 seconds to open.. for a JPG.. come on..

EDIT: My PC specs are decent.. so that's not an issue.. AMD FX-8350 8 core processor, 4Ghz - 24GB memory, 256GB SSD, Radeon 7850, etc.

The band your router is using might be congested. That is the only thing I can think of.

5ghz band would be best for crowded wifi area , not sure if your phone and router supports it.
