BT connection problems

I have a Droid with CM7.02-droid and a Nook Color with CM 7.03 - encore. I tried to connect the two to use my Phone's GPS on the NC. I have them paired but they will not connect to each other.

I have another issue. I purchased a G-Tech fabric keyboard with the same result. It will pair but not connect. Can someone direct me to a how to or guide me to getting these to work together?

Is there some step I might be missing in making them connect?

Thanks

Try the latest nightly, the stables are months behind.

Thanks for the help. I did a clean install of CM7-08312011-Nightly-encore Android version 2.3.5 And I still get the same results. Paired but not connected. What can I do next??

Thanks

If I remember correctly you need a special app to tether GPS. I don't recall the name. I do not have much experience with Bluetooth other than using a couple wii remotes.

Distance. I was playing with this quite a bit. Some devices have to be as close as about 3 inches to connect. Some can be as far away as about 3 feet.

I was probably that close several times. Is the BT not ready for prime time yet? I just flashed CM7.1 and still no go. Are there other ROMs that get better results? Having an affordable keyboard for my NC would be better than using my laptop for most of what I do.

I've got the latest nightly on my NC and it's still a no go. I'm not really sure what the problem is. I've read that the BT antenna in the NC is basically non-existent and I've also read that it's a shared antenna with the wifi. I've also read that it is a BT software issue. Honestly, I don't know which it is. I'm hoping for a software fix sometime soon.

I am beginning to think the issue with BT is might be both hardware and firmware related. Or that no one really knows. I also have read the same as you. I'll keep my fingers crossed I guess.

Bluetooth is different for every nook just like overclocking. Some work better than others and some cannot connect at all. One of my nooks can only get about 5 inches and my other one can get 2 feet. Its just the luck of the draw.

I can pair a headset on the latest nightly, and even connect, but the bluetooth has such a short range, I think the only reasonable thing to connect would be possibly a keyboard which will sit right next to the Nook anyway.
