Since the ICS install (I did a complete factory reset), I?ve had a problem listening to books via BT connection. I like to do this in the car with a Motorola T-505 unit that grabs the BT signal and sends it via FM to the car radio. The T-505 gives me a quick button to push to pause/resume the audio if something else is going on in the car, and in times past I was able to turn off the BT device and come back the next day or whenever, reconnect to BT, push Play and have the book audio pick up where it left off.
BUT, since the ICS update, whenever I reconnect to a BT device, whether the T-505 or a set of Jabra stereo earplugs, the track starts playing from the beginning instead of starting from where I left it. Now, a book track is generally an MP3 that?s over an hour long. I am using the native music player because it is my experience when using a BT device for music or books, the pause/resume BT commands always seem to hook into the native android app even though I might be trying to play through another player app. So, I use the native app, and that was OK until ICS.
To illustrate the problem ? say I am at minute 45 in an 80 minute book MP3 track. I pause the playback by pushing the pause on the BT device. Then I turn off the device. I then come back and turn on the device and push the start button on the BT device. It starts playing from the beginning of the track, BUT .. if I look at the app on the screen, I still see the progress marker at the 45 minute mark and I still seeing it counting up from 45 minutes, even as it plays from the beginning. Any suggestions?
