Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a heads up:
At work I usually charge my phone with a USB cable plugged into the computer. While I had my Epic (it's in the return kit being sent back on Monday), I would do that along with my G1. Well, my printer stopped working. Couldn't figure it out until a few days later when I realized the printer only wouldn't work when the Epic was plugged in.
Also, when I would plug my G1 in--with the Epic already plugged in--the computer would pop up a notice saying "Unrecognized USB Device" even though it has never said that before. The same notice came up for my printer, which also had never done that before. Somehow, though, the keyboard and mouse still worked fine
. After that, I brought the wall charger and never noticed the issue again.
NOTE: I did not install the USB Drivers for the Epic on that computer, but I also did NOT mount the phone. I simply plugged it in and chose "Charging Mode" when the Epic's pop-up came up.
ALSO NOTE: This is on a Windows Vista machine.
So if you've been noticing some of your USB devices not working, it could be this.
