Bugless Beast v0.4 vs Sapphire 1.0.0

I'm currently running BBv0.4, but saw where Sapphire 1.0.0 was released yesterday. I'm looking for opinions on both ROMs, pros, cons, etc.

Sapphire is great very few bug been ruining it since release with very few bugs

Would you say its quicker than bugless beast? I heard some things about a lower benchmark score due to a different way of encoding graphics?

It's like comparing apples to oranges. AFAIK, Pete is just using the releases from Motorola and piecing in a couple pieces here and there so it really isn't anything special. Pretty much the same as the others. Sapphire is a "from source" rom built on the source directly from google with only the proprietary files from the Motorola releases. The free version of Quadrant looks pretty but is pretty useless when it comes to determining rom performance as you don't know what a rom is doing right or what it's doing wrong. CVPCS and the Sapphire crew removed the Stagefright media player in favor of another due to issues with audio streaming quality. I've used Bugless Beast and from what I can tell, 1.0 is faster, smoother and more bugless.

I agree bb isn't in the same league as sapphire. And btw I'm using stage fright without issue. Benchmark scores are slightly low but the rom is fast and I use quadrant advanced all kernels put out crappy graphics minus Jake's

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'll do a ROM backup and then try out Sapphire. I just hate doing fresh installs and setting up everything all over again.
