Bugs in Jelly Bean

I definitely notice a faster drop in battery. I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing it. I've had my phone off charger for an hour and I am already down to 89% Anyone else noticing this?

i too feel like i am seeing a much faster drop in battery life. not sure why. can google now be a factor, constantly running?

Yes Google Now and having the optimizer on will drain battery. Go in Google now and only leave the cards on that you will actually use. I only have weather and sports checked. I also shut off my optimizer and have already noticed the battery drain has slowed.

Sad to report that while the native mail app looks different, the notification issues remain. For gmail it works just fine. I've got my work's exchange account set up (push/activesync) and sometimes I don't get notifications at all, sometimes I get 2-3 out of nowhere, and it often notifies me of unread email hours or days old as if it's new. Don't have these issues with email alternatives (TouchDown/Moxier). Just a shame the native app is so bad, but I think that's really more on Google than HTC/Sprint.

btw, I called Sprint about the issue, their only suggestion was to replace the phone as defective! Thanks for caring, Sprint.

A few things I've noticed along the way:

- My "USB debugging connected" notification is always there when plugged into a computer, even though I have USB Debugging, as well as Developer Options, turned off

- Now instead of having one "USB connected" notification, I have two. The second is USB File sharing. Not really sure why it's seperate

- This has already been pointed out, but "Just Charge" is no longer an option when plugged into a computer

- You used to be able to disable the Beats Audio notification, and it no longer appears to be available

- Themes appear to be gone. There are some new skins, which are nice, but I liked having green menu bars and so forth.

All in all, though, it seems much smoother. I haven't had any Sense reloading yet. I stopped using Waze previously because it would reload (and thus lose navigation) everytime I switched apps. So far that hasn't happened.

My signal seems to have actually improved. I used to not be able to get any sort of signal in my local Wal Mart, and now I can actually connect through roaming (slow, but it works more or less.)

I played with the camera app a little, and I really like being able to snap shots just by tapping the screen. The way I hold my phone makes it difficult to hit the shutter with my thumb without shaking the phone. Being able to do this with burst mode would be an added bonus, but I'll gladly accept being able to do it at all.

Strangely (or maybe not?), I haven't actually made a phone call yet, so I don't know if I have the proximity sensor issue, or if call quality is any better.

I've noticed the audio notifications seem a whole lot louder now. Beats seems improved, though it's hard to tell because the audio cable I use in my car has become really staticy over the last few days.

Major props to the person who pointed out that you have to pinch in and out to expand notifications. I never would have figured that out on my own, and was a little perplexed why I couldn't expand email notifications. That is super useful now.

Lastly, having used CM10 for a few weeks and went back to stock to try this out, which do I prefer? So far, I'm inclined to say CM10. For me personally, I enjoy the myriad of customization options. They are both now super slick, so that's not a good comparison anymore. Sense has definitely come to a good place, minus the loss of some customizations. It's super fast, smooth, and doesn't appear to have the multitasking issues of yore. Will it be good for the average person? Hell yea. For us that like to tinker, and make things are own, I like having the option to root if I decide to go back.

I just did send them a message about it (and a few other things) right before I saw your message.

What is the point of having the ability to disable apps if they keep changing things to block us from disabling apps?

There are so many apps I had disabled before that I can't disable them now....very annoying.

The update is great. No issues here except........Dead Trigger! The game does not play as smoothly. Acts almost like it would prior to the update when the battery would get low. Like there isn't enough power going to the processor or to many things running. It's a small thing, but one I noticed.

After my Samsung Galaxy S III was upgraded to Jelly Bean, I now have an issue between my phone, my Samsung Galaxy Universal Multimeda Desktop dock, my VTECH DS6421-3 phone with bluetooth cell connection. Previously, I had bluetooth connected my phone to the VTECH phone system and I could answer my cell phone from any handset in the house. After the Jelly Bean upgrade in late November, if the cell phone is in the desktop dock, when I answer a call using the VTECH handset, the cell phone speakerphone comes on and people can't hear me talking to them. If the phone is not in the dock, then everything works fine. I've tried un-pairing/re-pairing the devices and rebooting all devices and there's no change in the behavior. Samsung support wants me to do a "hard reset" on my phone, but I don't want to lose all my data and apps for a bug that is specific to the phone being in a docking station. When I put the phone into the dock, it recognizes it by playing a sound and changing the cell phone display to the dock home screen, so I know it has detected it is docked and is obviously going through a different part of the code at that time. The Samsung support technician said he would pass my information along, but he didn't sound sincere. Anyone else noticed this issue?

I had the mic icon on the stock keyboard after JB update. Then it disappeared. Hard reboot of phone refreshed the mic onto the keyboard allowing me to use Google Voice Typing in the messaging app, chrome, gmail, etc. If that doesn't work, hard reboot again a few times.

Interesting. I thought I was having a similar experience with the Sense Keyboard, then I figured out what is happening.... on input areas that already HAVE a mic option on the screen somewhere, it doesn't put a mic on the keyboard! Although that is cute, I actually believe it much more confusing and frustrating for users. It makes much more sense to have a single button to always go if you want to use voice controls. Oh well.

On the backup and reset screen there is Automatic Restore selection that restores settings and data when reinstalling a app. Does this work after a factory reset?

NO it doesn't. I had to do this last night and the only thing it did was auto reinstall my apps. None of the settings on the phone or on my apps was saved.

Wth? I posted a video to upload on fb and it started... I viewed another video in my gallery but didn't select upload and it started uploading it on its own to fb... Not good and I'm lucky I caught this

There is no option when typing to use talk to text anymore, there used to be a microphone in both Swype and stock keyboard, but it's gone now. :(

Do you have power saver on? That slows the cpu down
