Build Issues resolved (esp on 3G model)?

Some people reported that tightening loose screws only temporarely solved the screen lift issue, but removing that sponge actually fixed it for good. But if it's glued on I will not remove it, unless I know what it's there for.
By the way, is the sponge located where the "creaking" sound occurs? And how big is?

I don't know about it being where the creaking is but I would say it is not where the lift is. It is small, maybe 2cm by 0.5cm.

Zero issues on my 32 3g from the play store...

Spoke too soon, speakers crapped out (Popping n cracking like their blown). RMA Started....

So I received my Nexus 7 32G + HSPA+ yesterday. Can't say much about the quality yet, other than that I don't see any signs of a screen raise/lift. So far I'm happy about it, other than UPS. Ordered it on Monday morning and received it Wednesday morning. Since I received a mail the day before that I would get it on Wednesday "End of the day" I didn't expect it earlier than 3pm or the next day. UPS guy never knocked, just left the package at our doorstep at 8.40am (stamp). If I weren't gonna go out with my son at 2.50pm I wouldn't even have seen it! Very disappointing, UPS!

Well, I charged it to 95% this morning and did the 4.2.1 update. And yes, I do notice that I already lost 4% of the charge in just a little time. And another 2% while writing this.
