The top part of my screen can be pressed down closer to the phone and become one whole solid. Is this a problem or not? I'm not sure if this is clear lol. I can try clarifying if you guys don't understand what I'm trying to say.

Are you saying you can squeeze the top part of the phone and the screen moves?

If I push down the silver part that has the speakers drilled in down, it moves down a bit but doesn't stay there. The screen does not shake at all when I move it though.

Ah ok. Well it is an expensive investment right? If you're not happy with the hardware, exchange it. Don't let anyone on here tell you whether or not you should keep it because in the end it's your phone. You spent the money on it and you'll be the one using it every day.

I did extensive research on this phone before I decided to switch from the s4. I went to tmobile today and the first One they gave me I opened immediately and looked it over. I already knew about the build quality issues and sure enough the white plastic around the outside of the phone had a spot that was kind of rough when you ran your finger across it. So before I even left the store I said you might as well get another out because this isnt going to work. If you're anything like me (and it sounds like you are) then you'll exchange it because ultimately it's going to bug you.

So it's not supposed to be this way? That's my real question haha. Also, would at&t let me exchange it for free?

It should not do that. Also att will let you swap it out for free if your within the 15 day return policy. I'd just go down where you bought it from and exchange it if your not 100% happy with it.

Will ATT charge you a restocking fee?

Edit: I mean within the 15 day period.

I agree (like) with what chrscaley posted about it's your decision/money.

So a replacement phone would be 35?

Your phone is considered hardware defective, they will allow you to switch it out within the 15 day period without the $35 restocking fee.

Just out of curiosity, is this a common issue? I don't want to get another device with the same issues. Also, it shouldn't matter that I have a few mysterious little scratches right? I swear I take perfect care of it and little marks show up on the silver edges.

My phone has no gap. Could be the second wave of phones though, just bought it Sunday

Mine has a slight gap, but I barely notice it... and I am extremely picky about my phones.
