Built in Msg App

Hiya Just got my Samsung G 2 in the post today so far I'm loving it its my 1st Android.

I really would like too us Handset sms rather than the built in one. You cant move or hide the standard one and I cant seem to make it open Handset as the default one.


I hope some out there can help me fix this thnx

As for hiding the default message app from the bottom row:

1. Go to Applications
2. tap menu key on left bottom
3. Select grid view
4. Tap menu key on left bottom again
5. select edit
6. Drag messaging off the bottom row and replace with proffered app

As for making Handset, maybe just place that in the spot. No idea how to make it the default app though.

One last thing, in addition to the instructions, turn off notifications in the default messaging app otherwise you will receive duplicate notifications for each message.
