Bump Charging a Droid 3

My wife is getting only 3 or 4 hours on a full charge on her Droid 3. One of the things that was a huge help in extending the battery life of my HTC Incredible was to run it through a number of "bump charging" cycles.

Before I go through the process with this phone, I wanted to ask here if anybody has tried it and did it help.
