Android 17 beta 3

Must be just your carrier that makes it easier. I'm half afraid to attempt it after the experiences I've had in the past. Lol

What carrier are you on? I'm thinking the phone transfer side-by-side should work on any carrier as it seems pretty much like if you were taking a physical SIM and transferring it to the other phone.

I'm on Mint. I went ahead and converted to esim today so I can attempt it

I will say battery life on this has been pretty bad for me compared to Android 16. I used to hit 7 to 8 hours a day of battery life.

I know I don't really use that stat either but so many people do. Typically at the end of my day I don't feel the need to recharge unless it's a heavy day of usage.

But here lately I have had to recharge in after noon then evening again.

I pulled this off the charger at 9:53am and it 4:04pm with 82% and 57 min on screen.

Something is hitting it harder now then before. I may try to factory reset. I wish I would have done that before converting to esim now. Sigh

Yeah, I've been none too impressed with the battery life thus far either. Thought maybe it had to settle in, but so far I'm seeing a pretty decent drop with the same usage. I usually charge to full around 6:30PM and was easily making it to 6:30PM the following day, but have found myself reaching for the charger to make it through now.

Weird, I've had no issues with battery life so far.

Yeah I'm hoping the next release will address the battery

The one thing I do notice about this build is that my wifi dropped a lot and then I find myself on 5G.

My battery seems to have settled in a bit. Still don't think I'm getting what I was pre beta, but it is what it is.

On a different note, I thought I'd like the bubble/floating app feature more. It's a good feature, but IMO getting apps to bubble/float isn't very intuitive. Only being able to launch from the home screen feels a bit clunky ... I wish they'd add the ability to launch from the recent/overview screen or a long press drag and drop (kinda like Samsung devices). But it's a step in the right direction!
