Bump charging the battery with desk dock

So I have had my charge for about two weeks, and charge the battery throughout the day as needed as well as every night. I bought the desk dock two days ago, which came with an extra battery as well. Yesterday I was just charging the extra battery, and the light was green, signifying it was fully charged. I took it out and put it right back on to charge, and the light was red again. I was able to do this 5 times.

When I used that battery this afternoon during an hour car ride, in which I used bluetooth music stream as well as google maps with gps on, when I got to my destination my battery read 99%, a superb increase over what my battery usually is after an hour of slight to no use at all. Anyone else tried this?
