Bumper case

Has anyone found a bumper case or can I expect one to be coming out any time soon? The only thing I'm concerned about on this phone is the corners. The phone really seems like a good candidate for just a bumper.

Would love to hear if anyone has any input.

Had one on both my Nexus 6 and Moto X 2014, great fit and adds just enough grip to the sides of the phone.

I second that emotion.... Anytime you have nice custom backs, you need simple bumper cases so that the backs show through. Hopefully we'll see them soon.

I think that case is the exact opposite of a bumper case. While it is interesting looking, I think I want something that only covers the edge of the phone, leaving the back and screen uncovered.

The soft touch back is beautiful but like gripping a greased pig. The metal sides aren't much better. I ended up stretching a rubber band around the edge to help have something to grip. I still can't hold it with both hands to thumb type worth a dern, but thank goodness for good predictive typing.

Bring on the bumper case!

I have been using UAG cases for 3 different phones and they are premium quality. The one for the Turbo 2 is offered in 3 different colors (clear, grey, red) and reinforced by TPU/plastic. The whole thing has a really cool industrial look, complete with fake screws. The corners are oversized and rounded for maximum protection. The lip is big and raises the screen enough, even with a glass screen protector. The back of the phone presents a nice deep recess for the whole camera module. The color accent on the back around the camera appears perfectly, cutouts are great and generous (both mikes on the back are exposed and you can plug in an L-shaped earphone plug in the 3.5 mm jack (many cases are not designed to accommodate L-shaped plugs). Also increases grip on the sides.

It is a bumper case with a back. Can the bumper be used separately?

That case is most definitely NOT a bumper! It is a thick case that covers the entire back and sides. I had one for my Moto X Pure. I ordered it because I thought it would be minimal. I was wrong!

I second this motion. What I loved about all previous Motorola Droids was that the sides were made of soft touch paint. The finish gave a nice grippy feel so I didn't have vertigo every time I held the phone. I respect that Lenovorola made the DT2 look and feel like a true premium device, however, gripping the sides is much harder especially when holding the phone in one hand and trying to reach corners of the screen.

I haven't used a case in years while owning all Moto Droid products, but I may very well find myself getting a bumper case for grip, while still being able to show off my beautiful customized ballistic nylon back and my custom color scheme.

I'm not a fan of the clear cases. I tried one on my T1. They just don't look right and are finger print magnets. But it did remind me of going over my grandmother's house when I was young. She had one of those clear plastic couch covers....

You are right, when you're talking on your phone no one pays attention to what your talking into.

But particularly attractive or ugly phone/case features do catch people's eyes. Especially in a group setting. Not to mention personal phone designs and cases help easily identify your phone when you set it down somewhere.
