Busted screen

Well while waiting on my case to arrive I dropped the phone today. Busted the front corner up pretty good. The rear didn't crack. I found screen replacements on Ebay from China for $99, looks like the only option right now. Does anyone know of any teardown videos from the front? Or is that even possible? I found two teardown vids on Youtube but they both start from the rear and don't show the screen being taken off. I've replaced plenty of Ipad screens, does anyone know if this one comes apart similar to the ipad (from the front instead of rear)? Thanks for any help

Pre existing is not covered.

Looks like Asurion's $8.99 + 3.00 Protech support but without the loss/theft coverage and with a smaller deductible.

But man oh man if you pay $12 for 18 months and do a replacememt for mechanical issues that $99 is not cheaper than paying $9 a month for 18 months with a $112 deductible.

ETA I am in no way suggesting Asurion is better in anyway. I refuse to buy their service.

I had a very positive experience with asurion last year when my note 5 took an ocean dip. Paid 99 bucks and they next day aired one to my hotel. Even let me pick any color I wanted and it was brand new.

I use square trade. It's 149 for two years or 89 a year. Deductible is 99.00.
I've been using them for years and very happy with them. They either offer local shop repair but usually I've ended up overnighting.

I'm thinking of going with squaretrade too. I'm curious how many claims you've made with them and how it worked? Can you go to any local repair shop or just certain ones?

where did you buy your phone. you may be allready enrolled in the free first month of samsung care.

I forgot I was paying for Verizon insurance, so I went ahead and filed through Asurion. $149 deductible. The problem is they didn't have any black s8's in stock, but said they should have some in 7-10 days. So I'm just waiting on them.
