Gestures all the way. Free up the screen from an unnecessary band of navigation buttons...why not?

Buttons all the way. The apps aren't all built for the screen, and forcing them to use "full screen" frequently causes issues, so...why not a navigation bar? Besides, it can come and go as needed.

Plus, I can use Good Lock Navstar to create my own nav bar--including an icon for quick tap for screen off, the same thing as pressing the power button, except it's WAY more accessible on S10+ than that stupid position for the power button. (S9+ power button position was WAY better and easier to access.)

Buttons all the way. MUCH more productive.

Gestures, because you can't turn off auto-hide for the buttons.

If I have to use a gesture to bring the buttons up anyway, i might as well just use a gesture.

???? The buttons don't auto-hide. Mine are always on--and since most apps don't understand the screen size/ratio, and many of them misbehave if you try to force them full screen, it's no big deal to leave the buttons on.

I'm really a button guy, but I've been using Google's gestures on the One UI beta and I rather like them.

!!!! It doesn't do it with most apps, the one it was really noticeable with was Wizards Unite. When it first came out i was playing it enough that it was very annoying.

Gestures because of screen real estate. I tried going back to buttons but it was annoying at the bottom of the screen.

That's the same reason I'm using gestures. It's nice to have the entire screen to peruse without buttons on the screen getting in the way.

Between Samsung's gestures, One Hand through Good Lock, and NovaLauncher, who needs buttons/widgets/multiple pages?

Although I sometimes get confused between them all. LOL

I am using the new gestures on Samsung's OneUI 2.0 beta. I'm still adjusting to them but I like them better than the buttons so far with the exception of an issue with regards to having Samsung Pay's favorite card feature enabled for the home screen.

I just switched to Gestures to try again. Let's see if I can get used to it and remember what is where LOL!

Gestures! Install One Hand Operation+ from e Samsung store to give you even more options.

Gestures for sure. Allows you to truly have all screen experience. Also more intuitive if you're familiar with gestures.
