That's a good deal, thanks. I would have preferred to buy directly from Verizon with $100 rebate, vs Best Buy with their $100 gift card. But Verizon waited 2 months to do this, while Best Buy has had their $100 deal since day 1.

I wonder if there will also be a free-battery type of promotion by LG in August.

Got mine today from the local Verizon store. A hundred buck gift card for buying the phone I wanted is a pretty sweet deal.

I wondered about that. But the rebate website says you have to purchase from Verizon Wireless locations, or verizonwireless.com. So it looks like you can't double-dip.
