Buy now or wait??

Birthday is coming up next week and the wife said I can get whatever phone I want as a gift. I was torn a bit between the Pixel XL2 and the N8 but I've decided the Note 8 has just way too much to offer for around the same price.

Question is should I buy now or wait a couple weeks to see if there will be any black Friday deals w/gifts offered. I will buy unlocked from Samsung direct. Was thinking maybe they may take a hundred bucks off or something. Thoughts??

I think there may be deals now. I don't know the details but Verizon had an ad to get a $250 gift card when I was on their site today.

AH, I'm on T-Mobile, I wanted to buy direct from Samsung but I'll check the T-Mo site to see if anything is brewing.

If you have the patience to wait, it is only a couple of weeks. As for me, when I decide on something I usually can't wait. I bought the unlocked version at a time when there were several pretty good deals running for carrier models. I didn't want a carrier version and was willing to pay the extra for the unlocked. At the end of the day, it's all what you're comfortable with doing. I'm very happy with my decision but that's me. Samsung has run some freebie included deals and may well repeat them for the holidays.

Yeah this place can be a bad influence for that very reason. It's cost me lots of money on more than one occasion.

The Note 8 is a great phone, I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

I was in the same prediciment. Just went out today and bought the V30+. I've waited long enough.

I take after the sticker on my chargers rear window "F.It" I don't have much patience lol, and for me especially coming from the double Note 7 recall and having mediocre phone choices for the next year before the Note 8 arrived

Last year Samsung website had deals and discounts at the end of year sales than Thanksgiving. However, Best Buy and Amazon had good Thanksgiving discounts.

So yes, if you want to wait, it's not a long wait and you could save some money to get whatever case you want or other accessories

I'm on T-Mobile as well. Currently I have the Pixel 2 XL....minus all these damn issues that's been reported lol. Anyway, I've been really considering the Note 8 as an additional device. The more I look at the Note, the more I want it. I'm hoping Black Friday has some super good deals because I may consider buying one. Damn this tech game can be addicting lol.
