So I emailed them and this was the response.


"This means that it's being sold by a re-seller, not a retailer. The other option is "New (Retail)"


Now I'm curious how these people get these brand new phones? Doesn't that seem sketchy?

Most people get the phone on contract, for a very small fee. Keep it in the box, don't activate it. Then sell it online for $400-600 dollars. I got my S5 for a Penny then sold it online for $450. Kept my old cell phone and pocketed the cash.

By from a seller that has good ratings. I've bought from people with no ratings plenty of times, without issue.

Yeah I bought my Nexus 4 from Amazon. Was gonna buy from swappa but Amazon was cheaper.

Thanks for the response. That makes perfect sense and is a great idea to make some extra cash if you don't mind the phone you currently use.

But they are new and you know what you are getting. I paid for my Note 4 and Note Edge in full on the T-Mobile site. I did not want to be making payments. Some people have gotten fake phones on eBay.

True. I'm the same way, I'd like to spend extra $ for peace of mind but that's just out of my price range :/

Just received mine the other day and was in the same boat. Purchased off eBay and was also skeptical. Things worked in my favor and all is well. Search around I picked my 910A up for $479 I think the price has since gone up to 5 and change.
