Buying a note 8 in US as gift to be used on Rogers.

So I want to buy a note 8 as an xmas gift for a friend on rogers. Which note 8 would be best to get for her and be able to use all features Rogers offers? I know rogers uses bands 4,7,17 if I'm not mistaken. Would it be best to get the unlocked note 8 ? Thanks !

the unlocked Note 8 sold in the US would work fine in Canada.
