Android Central Question

Okay, I'm confused.

I am a NET10 customer using ATT network here in WV. My phone died. So, I want to buy a Samsung A50. Well...the only thing I can find for reasonable, new, is an International version of it (A505F/DS).

The bands used for 4G don't list the bands used by Att or Net10. THey use 2/4/17...which aren't listed in the Specs for this A505F/DS

Yet I'm told the phone will work fine with my old Net10 Sim card.

Please explain. Would I be stuck with a phone that lags on 2 and 3G networks? Will I even get decent signals at all with this phone?

Or can I ignore the band info and it'll work fine? I can't get ahold of Net10.

Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! Net10 uses towers from all 4 carriers: https://www.whistleout.com/CellPhones/News/Net10-Cell-Phone-Deals. So for 4G, it's 2, 4, 12, 13, 25, 41.

The A50 you're considering supports bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 38, 40, 41 (https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a50/specs/SM-A505F/). So the only overlap is with band 41, which is a Sprint band, and considering that Sprint's coverage tends to be the worst of all 4 major carriers, there is more chance that you'll have poor 4G functionality with this phone on Net10.
