Buying Recommendation: OnePlus 8 Pro vs Note20 Ultra

So I'm needing to make a jump from my current note 8 and the debate has been high... I'm teetering between both phones, I love Samsung but hate that there's a cap on updates, and love the freedom that a one plus 8 pro brings, I'm also with Verizon, so wondering if I should consider the one p is 8 5g uw they offer as well... Decisions decisions.. Feedback would be greatly appreciated

First off what do you mean Samsung has a cap on updates? Updates happen pretty regularly and they are now guaranteeing 3 years of them for all devices from the 10 series on forward.

Having said this I love OP phones as they are fast, fluid and have decent battery life with that stock feeling. Amazing screen and the cameras improved a lot and if you're still using a note 8 you should be happy in that department.

If you're an avid spen user you will miss that and all of the kitchen sink features samsung throws with it.

If price is apart of that decision then OP wins in that department as the new notes prices are definitely hefty even with the premium price points OP are reaching I still think it's better than Samsung prices unless your trade-in with samsung offsets it.

If it was my decision I personally was making I'd go with the OP 8 pro. Most people may steer you towards staying with samsung. I fortunately always have both a samsung or 2 and a OnePlus in my lineup.

Edit: also I just re-read your post and missed your with Verizon. That changes the direction my decision would go in. I'd go with the note 20 series if I was with Verizon. Sorry I'm on TMobile which makes the Oneplus decision easier for me..

I'm on Verizon and I vote for the 8 Pro all the way all day long as OnePlus is running the $150 accessory voucher offer now where you now get the full $150 value though much is out of stock so get yourself the new earpods and a warp car charger...the 8 Pro works GREAT on Verizon just live chat with them to get it rolling...I'm sitting out on the Note 20U as I played with it in Best Buy as it's too gigantic and the trade in stinks for my S20U 512gb...

No. Not sure why it's not available.

Simeone mentioned on another thread after I asked the question that it is not. Verizon will often do something like that if it's an unlocked phone.

I looked at the note 20 and the specs on the one plus 8 were better for the money. I will keep my note 10 plus for another year.

I had an S20 ultra but decided to sell it and get a One Plus 8 pro. Love the One Plus. Hast even made me consider going with the Note Ultra. And the One Plus works so well on T Mobile

How are you liking it? I don't have the 8 Pro, but I have the smaller 8 and Note 20 Ultra.
