Buying the phone in stores

Blah, I wonder what my chances of being ale to get it in a store on the 10, 11, or 12th.... Whenever they decide to have it will be!

The Verizon stores are saying the 12th now too!

Just called Verizon Store here in Seattle area...will be opening 2 hours early Tuesday morning S3 kick off stock is in....

If it's a corporate store you may want to call back and ask them to check their email news. I called 2 corp stores they both initially said it launches on the 10th when I asked if they would verify that they checked and came back and said "Hmm I guess it is delayed until the 12th"

Just called back they said see you Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. and you can get your 16 gb phone. I asked if they are delayed to 12. Manager said launch date is 10 store stock supports 10 come down enjoy your donuts n coffee and leave with your S3

I'm consider buying the phone retail from best buy because of their black tie insurance that supposedly covers EVERYTHING except for theft and loss. Anyone have experience with them or have suggestions for better insurance?

I believe you. I just called 1 more local store, the rep said excitedly that yes the launch date is the 10th and we have them in stock! (that's the 1st person that has told me they have stock) I mentioned the delay she places me on hold asks her manager and says yes we can sell it on the 12th. Not sure what's going to happen I just suggest you call before anyone drives to Verizon Tuesday.

I called quite a few local stores, and some not so local. Dates were all over the place, my local store said tomorrow the 9th, some said the 17th, one said the 12th. and another said the 10th, who knows.

This sucks. I had to add a line to get a new phone because i dropped my razr maxx. I got the nexus to hold me over till the s3 dropped. I took a half day off work on the 10th to exchange it out. Now it's seemingly been pushed back to the 12th which is one day before my 14 days is up. I tried going through telesales and preorders from now forward arent shipping out til the 17th.

I'm getting my phones using my brother's upgrade, and the primary account holder for the family account is my dad.
Can I walk into a Verizon store and use my brother's upgrade for my line without my dad having to be there? We have conflicting work schedules and it'd be hard to work out a time to go together, especially not on the 10th or the 12th, whichever the release date is at my local VZW store.

Not unless you are on your Dad's account, authorized to make changes, etc. He can call Verizon and add you.

Is that what they call an authorized user? You should call Verizon and ask them directly - and to add notes to your account if you are. I assume you know the account password? Better safe than sorry.

My parents are a little short on English and I'm 20 so they trust me with information regarding our accounts for everything. I actually just added myself as an Account Manager and the website said I can now perform all the actions an Account Owner can, except add/remove Account Managers & change Billing Password.

So I think I'm in the clear to go ahead and walk into a store to buy my phone. (hopefully on the 10th, latest 12th!)

Yeah the account is under my hubby but I am the account manager since I do everything on it. I actually created his account online etc. I will be using our extra lines upgrade for myself too!
