Does anyone know if I can charge the price of the phone to my bill when buying through Best Buy like if I buy straight from Sprint?

Thanks!

Wait. You can buy a phone through Spring and have it added to the bill?

I don't believe you can but you do have the benefit of using a BB card (:

no you can't.. the cost of activation goes on your sprint bill but you must pay BB for the phone.. the benefit is that you usually dont have to muck about with MIR so its all good.

Some advice: if you're buying from BestBuy, do it IN THE STORE. If you buy online or over the phone, it's done through a foreign company that is not only horrible (from my experience and others) to work with BUT ALSO has a draconian agreement: if your phone is faulty, malfunctions and needs to be replaced after 30 days, you have to pay them (the foreign company) the FULL price of the phone AND you then have to buy a replacement phone. Yep, you read that correctly. Even if the reason for breaking, malfunctioning is determined to be factory fault. BestBuy's customer service was VERY surprised by this as well.

Can Best Buy do things like transfer numbers and issue new contracts?

Best Buy was able to transfer contacts from a Samsung Instinct to the Palm Pre when I purchased it back in July.

Also a BIG PLUS is the fact that the MIR is now absent. :D

Just the fact that il get rid of the mir makes me go with best buy instantly, another thing look what happen with the incredible when the retail price was at $199 at verizon stores some other online stores were selling it in $159 or $149.

I work for BBM and pretty much everything was covered, but just to confirm. No mail in Rebates, can not add the cost of phone to the bill, contacts should be able to be transfered(as long as current phone is functional) by our mobile genie, and you should be able to pre order the phone for $50 when the release date is announced. Usually preorders begin 2 weeks prior to a release.

I'm still curious of the transferring of numbers (from one carrier to Sprint) through best buy. My current contract with US Cellular is up and I'll be signing a new contract with Sprint.

Thanks in advance.

You are referring to porting a number I assume, if so then yes this is completely possible. Just bring a copy of your current bill with account number on it, and barring any carrier issues the number should be eligible for a port. I have not seen too many numbers come up ineligible to port out. It can take up to an hour for a cellphone number to be released, but many are complete within 10 mins.

There really isn't much that Best Buy Mobile can not do for a personal account.

yes they can :)
