I'm now leaning towards getting the Z2 Play as my next phone (but that may change because I'm tempted by at least three other phones right now!); but it looks like Motorola Canada's website only lets you purchase the Z2 Play if you're a Bell, Freedom Mobile, or Telus customer. My carrier is unfortunately not listed there... But it looks like there is no option to buy the phone outright.
Does anyone know if there is actually a way to buy it unlocked from Motorola; or will that option become available in the future? Or are there ant other Canadian retailers that sell it? Best Buy doesn't have it on their website.
