I had an extra male-to-male headphone cord laying around for an iPod touch that I used to have in the car. I put the one end into my aux input on my car and the other into the headphone jack on the Thunderbolt (similar to how I would do it with the iPod).
When I am charging my phone using the car adapter (from Verizon), the volume seems quieter and there is a good deal of static and a quiet high pitched noise. When I unplug from the charger, all is well.
Has anyone else experienced this? My wife's iPhone4 from Verizon has no problems when charging and playing audio out of the headphone jack.
