I like the nexus I think it's one of the best phones out there and you will get updates faster on it. But I still don't consider better than the 3D the only thing is the lte service on it that is, but still can't do voice and data on it under 3g like the evo lte ;-)

Are you saying you can't surf and talk on any device other than the 4G LTE? I do this all the time on my 3VO. I thought this was normal behavior on Android. If the Galaxy Nexus can't do this then maybe that will not be my new phone.

Can someone confirm/deny this function?

I dont know about the gnexus,but the evo 4g lte can do both voice and data at the same time. and no its not "normal" cause a large majority of smartphones cant. Htc evo 3d and 4g cant unless connected to 4g or a wifi network.
