Factory reset?

This phone is always full of surprises. Tonight, I get the phone out and see the white icon at the top. Slide down the notifications and see that Google Music has been paused because I am listening to it on another device. Ummm no I am not. I tried the Google Music All Access and canceled it a few days ago because I can get Apples service free because I pay for iTunes Match. I never listen to music on my Nexus 4 because I prefer my iPhone for that.

This phone is full of surprises each and every day.

You know, you don't have to stop coming to an Android forum just because you are going to be using an iPhone. I think there are many people here and on other phone forums that don't necessarily use the phone that the forum is about.

I am coming to this forum every day, dont worry, iPhone users don't use forums in my opinion, thats more fore android users... :)

Well as long as we can talk about negatives of other products, what I can't get over about the iPhone, is how toy like it looks compared to many of the Android Phones on the market today. The last big change in the iPhone was room for one more row of Icons at the bottom of the screen. Wow, that is earth shaking. Other than that the iPhone user is locked into the Apple system of "you do what we say because we are smarter than you are". Now that they realize that people are moving from this small phone to the newer more flexible designs of Android, they are trying desperately to make their little phone look more like a grown ups Android Phone with their new iPhone OS. Then of course there is the wide choice of iPhones models that are available for the customer . LOL

Since 2007. I was on iPhone, and this year decided to switch on Android, bought N4 and it is a no doubt for me the best phone now.
But, all things I did with my N4 can do iPhone too, and I decided to switch back, bought iP5 and thats it.

Here are my thoughts about Android. I still think that Jelly Bean 4.2.2 is way more advanced OS than iOS. I enjoyed using it, and have nothing to complain about. Maybe I can complain about buttons on nexus 4, little bit ''cheap'' feeling when pressing them, maybe it's glass on back makes me feel very caring not to break it. But thats LG problem not android. I never rooted my N4, and put some ROM on it, because I kinda don't wanna to customize it so much. You can do so much things on android, impressive. But after 5 months on android, I realized that I want simplicity, nothing else. And I must say iP5 looks good, no glass on back thanks god.

So, my conclusion is, android is way better and advanced than iOS, but iOS is simple, and for some, that is an advantage.

I enjoyed beeing here and posting, who knows, maybe KLP and N5 will bring me back, I am looking forward to see what is the future of Android.

Cheers guys ;)

And the point of posting this is....? Do you really think anyone gives a f**k?!

obviously, you do

I don't think so. I think he is just commenting. like someone would, when they see a guest at a party start to leave in the middle of the party, and as they are walking out the door they announce that they are leaving in a loud voice, and then start telling everyone that there is a better party happening somewhere else, and that is why they are leaving.

But, when that happens you have an Apple store that will replace the device on the spot. With android you deal with some company in korea or china, or deal with insurion insurance and they have to mail you a refurb
Normally I do not have to deal with it at all. With a removable battery, if the battery goes bad, you just pop in a new one. I don't need Apple to hold my hand, do not need to pay their inflated costs, and do not need to wait for them to get around to it.

On every phone I have had so far, I have been able to fix problems myself quickly and cheaply.

I think the OP's reason for posting this was to spark discussion between the two devices, which it did, but has now turned into a spam fest. At the end of the day it boils down to user preference and what the user see's as the best choice for them. We can argue which is easier all day long...but that doesn't change how you or I use the device and whether we need all the bells and whistles.

I came from iOS to the S4. When the first android came out, the TMO G1, I went from iOS to android thinking it was going to be awesome. After 3 days with G1 I gave up went back to iOS. And I can tell you that is part of the reason why I went back. I'm the type of person that like to stick with what I know bc I'm comfortable with it. The G1 wasn't as easy to navigate as the S4. Android has come a long way. Obviously the other reason is lack of apps back then. I do almost everything on my phone, never bothering with laptops. So even with the most simple things like checking bank balances, I would like an app for my bank on my phone. Now that Android is back with being easier to navigate and more user friendly, I'm happy to say I love my S4. Going back to comfortability and choices, I am still using Touchwiz. I don't like it that much, think it is clunky and sort of ugly. But I like the stock feel and I don't want to have to deal with choices of having to pick out a UI. Now I do like having the option to change if I want to. Good example is most of my default apps is made by Google. I love using Google products. It is efficient and simple and does what I need it to do. If I could get rid of S-voice and switch completely to Google Now without rooting, I will do it in a heart beat.

Disable S Voice: Settings>Application Manager>swipe over to all apps. Scroll down to S Voice, click on it. You will see 2 buttons; Force Stop and Disable/Uninstall Updates. Click on disable/uninstall (uninstall has to be done first, then disable will appear). This can be done for any other bloatware that you have on the phone, like Yahoo, etc...

TouchWiz: Try downloading a different launcher from Play, like Nova or ADW.

I think the OPs reason for starting the thread is that he felt people were going to be heart broken when he announced he was leaving the forum ( which turned out to be not true by the way) and when people instead commented that they thought his reason for leaving was lame, he decided to turn it into an Android bashing contest to justify his exit. "Don't let the door hit you in the **** on the way our" is probably how most people feel about some member of a forum announcing that they are leaving.

No insults meant, but I think that's only how you feel. OP may have been complaining about a few more things than needed, but it was by no means bashing.

haha, seriously? haha, yes man, I am here for 10 years and I want you to cry because I'm leaving (which isn't the case, im still here and will be every day). You are talking a lot of nonsense. Read my posts again, in every single post I said that 4.2.2 is better than iOS in every way, howcome I can justify my exit with saying that?

All the bed things about my nexus experience goes to LG, not android.

I don't get when apple people say, "I'd leave the platform if I didn't have so much invested in the eco-system."

So you willing to pay $200 for a new phone but not $40 for a few apps for the thing.?.

I am not going to read your posts. What I would like is for you to explain to everybody in a clear , easy to understand way, why you decided to start a Topic entitled "Bye Bye Guys" ? That's all, nothing more.
