CAC enabled websites with Chromebook?

I'm interested in getting my first Chromebook, possibly even the Pixel book. Can anyone here vouch for Chromebook working well with DOD CAC enabled websites? This is a make or break for me, unfortunately.

Google says yes. My organization says yes too, but we are not DoD.
