They seem to have changed the percentage function. I've had the s4, s5, s6 edge and now the s7 edge. They all worked fine, now this one has changed. Try this 200-10%=
It doesn't work!

200-10% = 199.9. 10% = .1. That's correct math. Was this supposed to work a different way?

How does the google calc that was just recently posted to the play store act?

Yes. Every other calculator I have used, works a different way.

Every other android calculator, or real calculator? I just downloaded Google Calculator, and noticed that it operates in the way that you mention. However, any real calculator (ie, graphing, financial, scientific etc) will not operate in this fashion - nor would programs like Microsoft Excel, etc.

Yes when you put 200 - 10% it is supposed to make 10% into 20, so the math should equal 180

But basic Math order of operations says no. 10% is technically .1 in a numerical base. If you want to take 10% of 200, you should be doing 200 - (200*.10) to get your answer of 180. Or you take in the inverse way of seeking 90% of 200, or 200*.9 = 180. But basic math will stipulate that percentages are properly translated into their decimal equivalent for mathematical computation.

I would suggest to anyone who has issues with the S7 built in calculator not operating like a tip calculator should just download the Google Calculator from the play store as it will operate the way you all want it to.

Samsung has updated the calculator app to function the way it used to!

OK that is better. No point in them being overly smart on this when other calculators work the usual way.
