Calculator

Check your accessibility options within settings. Ensure you don't have it on in there.

Just to be sure you don't see talk back on right?

Do you use Lastpass? There is a known issue with that and a couple of other apps. Lastpass uses accessibility to be able to link to other apps, I just downloaded another calculator.

I usually use MyScriptCalculator or I use Droid48 for real math. Talking stock calculator dont bother me.

Check any apps that have Device Administrator permission. These apps can cause this.

It's a known issue...Google lastpass and talkback, you'll find their support post. Other apps that need the accessibility permission have the same problem. That being said it is very minor and there is a simple workaround, download another calculator.

So I went into running apps and shut down essentially every single running app and the calculator lady was still yapping. Humm...

Found a fix for my phone. Whew!

Settings>Device>Accessibility>Services-Keeper FastFill-Off

Think it's just a glitch in the Tmobile version. I'd wait for an update. Or keep the media volume down when using the calculator. Or just find an alternative calculator

For everyone's sanity...

1) it is a glitch
2) its caused by ANY program that is active in Accessibility services (in my case Geenify does it)
3) Its not exclusive to T-Mo
4)... (opinion) since we are using accessibility services in a way they were not designed to be used, I would bet no one is working on stopping it from happening.
5) It has nothing to do with Talkback being on or off

Seems to be true.

I installed Commandr recently and my calculator started talking. If I disable Commandr the calculator stops talking. Re-enable Commandr and the calculator starts talking again.

Thanks for saving my sanity!
