calendar alerts late since gingerbread

Ever since "upgrading" to Gingerbread, my Droid X's calendar alerts seem to go off after the start time of the appointment, rather than the 15 minutes before that I set them to. Has anyone else had this issue? Just one more issue I'm having since the GB "upgrade."

I don't have that issue at all. My calendar alerts come on my phone before they come on my work PC.

I had the same issue and fixed it by going into Calendar Settings... Set Alerts & Notifications and changing this setting from Status Bar Notification to Alert.

I have the same issue, but it surfaced before gingerbread. Sometimes they work, others they're late--with no predictable pattern. (And the settings are already set to "alerts," so that's not the issue.) I've seen others with similar problems in various forums, but no one seems to have an answer. It's a MAJOR pain, and defeats the purpose of having alerts, which I rely on heavily
