Calendar help

I have been trying to customize the calender to function better for me. I need to be able to change the default appt time to 30 min, set it to no alarm reminder and have everything go to my gmail account and I cant figure it out.
Im assuming it is not possible to change these preset calender functions...so does anyone have a great calendar app they use that is more customizable than the one the fascinate comes with...any suggestions would be great. Its taking me so much extra time to book multiple appt with the way its set up now. thank you in advance.

I use Pure calendar. Its actually a widget that plugs into the default calendar. Its not free buy you can download skins to personalize the look and feel.

If you want to have calendar items go to your Google calendar the change the calendar from My Calendar to your Gmail account. The stock calendar will always default to My Calendar but Pure will allow you to specify the default. Also pure will sync up and view all calendars just like the Google calendar web app.
