Calendar Issues

I have several calendar issues. The issue about not dismissing the reminders very annoying. But the major problem I have using the google calendar is that when I have an event, I have a reminder for the day before. I don't receive this reminder until the day of the event and then It won't dismiss. I don't get the actual event to show up until the day after the event. Am I missing some sort of setting?

Don't know what the situation is with your Google Calendar. I can say the I too am unable to slide and dismiss the notification of "all day" events. I continually get the event notification as if I've snoozed it rather than dismissed it. The only work around I've found is the deselect the all day option when creating an event and set a start and end time. When the alarm notification goes off I can then slide to dismiss the event.

Its actually harder than it appears. I make it look easy.
