Calendar notifications?

OK, I know that there is no way to change that Calendar notification sound but can I at least disable it? I've disabled ALL notifications from within my Google Calendar and it still notifies and sounds. I was hoping to just use the SMS notifications.

I tried to delete application data for calendar and redo everything just in case, same result. It is just determined to do the notifier bar and that sound for every calendar event. -Pk

Mine never makes noise unless I want it to. I set all my events from the handset and select None for alarm. If I set up something from Google I just look it up after and select none.

Tried both ways already, just double checked, made a new event. Same results. Going to root the phone and take a closer look at processes. I also noticed some of my recurring events aren't showing up on certain recurring days. So somewhere in the mix something else is getting corrupted too. Thanks, Cheers, -Pk
