Calendar problem

Hi, if I add an appointment to my desktop pc google calendar, it appears on my Galaxy S4 but not the other way round. I suspect settings are wrong somewhere but I'll be blowed if I can find where.

My friend had a similar issue but it turned out he was adding them to a Samsung calendar on his phone not the Google calendar that was synced to the phone. Might be worth checking you are definitely adding the appointment to the Google calendar.
