Calendar reminders and sleep mode

Is there anyway to get the Nexus to "wake up" when a reminder or other notification comes in? If it is in sleep mode I get nothing.

did you intentionally made it to disable wifi when in sleep mode? if not go to settings-->wifi-->menu-->advanced-->keep wifi on during sleep-->Always.

if yes, then there is no way to know if there is a notification without the internet(wifi is sleep). calendar can show notification even if there is no internet if you have synced the event data prior

Its synced, wireless is on. Tried several different notification types, different apps.

But nothing, once the nexus is in 'sleep mode' it wont wake up till I do something with it.

So no one has any ideas what kinds of settings would effect this? Is there something wrong with it?

I too am trying to figure out how to have my Nexus 4 wake up and show me the appt that I have when an event reminder fires. All that happens now is that it sounds and never sounds again. Is there a way to have the sound repeat five times? My 8 year old windows mobile phone did this out of the gate.

You do realize that if you are able to turn this on you're going to be woken up by just about every beep and chirp the N7 makes, right? Maybe you use sleep mode for something other than when *you're* sleeping?
