Calendar Reminds Not Going Off After Jelly Bean Update?

I did a search and couldn't find anything related to my problem so I'm sorry if I missed it.

I use the stock Calendar app and it was fine before I updated. I updated last week and every recurring reminder I had set before the update goes off fine but the newer reminders I set never go off!
For instance, I set up a reminder to go off this morning 15min before 8am and it never went off but when I went to the Calendar app it was still listed.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Is there a fix?
