Calendar sync with gmail

Emails are all coming in fine but calendar will not sync with gmail. Is there any fix besides a factory reset?CValendar appears to be syncing, the little circle thing spins then stops. Any ideas?

Try this- it will clear your calender on your device. Go to settings, applications, manage application- select menu then filter to show all. Select calender storage and click on clear data

do you mean that that events created on the phone aren't syncing to the online calendar?? if so it seems like a lot of people are overlooking one of the fields when creating events. here's what i posted in another thread:

when you create an event on the phone you have to scroll down and choose which calendar to save to. the choice defaults to "my calendar" which is the phone's calendar. if you choose your gmail/google account then the next time it syncs it will show up correctly on google calendar.

i've only had the phone a couple days but haven't had a problem with syncing by doing this. add event to the phone, log in on my computer to my google calendar/gmail and its there.

The calendar application is beyond ridiculous. Everytime you want to make an entry you have to chose the calendar account because the default does not sync with anything. This is one of the things I miss most about the Palm Pre.

I made some entries without knowing this and got the phone replaced thus losing everything.

Yes, it's a huge pain, I wish we could default to the Google calendar rather than the phones, and maybe the ability to use the google calendar on line and have that data xfer to the google calendar on the phone!
