Hello All,

I am planning to buy Charge this evening, can anyone give me tips or point to right place to get details on how to calibrate the Battery for it.

Also anything else I should do first after getting my hands on it, apart from not doing any OTA?

thanks

things to do
1: Pay for it (The stores appreciate this part)
2. sync all of the accounts you desire (gmail faceboook twitter etc)
3.dont go downloading a ton of worthless apps just cause you read they were cool....
4. Enjoy the phone for the night and figure out waht YOU like and dont like before going to crazy lengths installing launchers and battery stuff etc.. give the phone a fair chance out of the box and see what ir can do for you before starting to try and alter it..then ask questions and read away...

thanks jayl, I did 1,2 not doing 3 and doing 4...but still want to know about calibrating battery as that is the first step I guess

I'm actually curious on this as well.

I ran my new Charge to 0% last night, charged it, and ran it to 0% again this evening. Am I wasting my time, here?

dont want to say "wasting" but unnecessary yeah.... memory on batteries of this kind is unlikely.... the thing i would be careful of is "bump Charging" the phone has cut offs depending on charger amperage etc.. I personally dont think "conditioning" the batter is a use of your time... but it is a fair question

The only time you had to calibrate a battery was for NiCD batteries... which held a memory so to speak. Lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory..so no need to drain and charge back up. In fact, if anything I think this is a bit harsh on the battery to let it completely run dry.

actually most battery apps will tell you to condition the battery once a month by letting it fall below 20% and then fully charging it.

Please read attached pdf.

http://www.lxe.com/pdf/wp_Li-IonBatteries.pdf

"Reconditioning a battery involves completely discharging the energy from a battery then recharging the
battery. Li-Ion batteries do not require reconditioning to maintain good battery performance since Li-Ion
does not have a memory effect. It is necessary to complete drain and then recharge a Li-Ion battery in
order to determine its current capacity level, but that is not the same thing as reconditioning the battery. Li-
Ion batteries do not have a condition that needs to be reconditioned."
