Call back happening when either I text or call someone

Since the pie update on my Galaxy note 9, I have noticed the call back feature showing up on the hangup screen. That is not a problem but it automatically calls back the person, I was texting or talking to without me doing anything. I have the view cover and it happens also when I close it when the call is over. It has been a problem and I need to know how to turn off the call back feature. This seems to be new with pie because I did not have trouble before. Any suggestions??

I was having a similar situation. My phone was dialing frequently to the contact, or person I was texting, whichever happened to be on screen.

I turned off the Direct Call feature and the problem went away. I was not placing the phone to my ear to make a call, it seems the sensor and the way I hold my phone don't work well together with this feature.

Thank You I will give it a try and see if that fixes it.. That is the closest I have found to a solution.

I had the same problem for a while. I would be sitting in my recliner and recieve a text. I'd send an answer and then just drop the phone on my chest and I hear the person that I was texting hollering into their phone. You said that you have the view cover and when you close it, the phone dials. The phone is sensing the cover closing and interperts it as your face coming up to the phone.

Settings>Advanced features>Motions and Gestures>Direct Call then turn off.

Yep. Same here. A call would be made to the person I was texting for no apparent reason whatsoever.

I turned of Direct Call to see if that resolves the problem.
