Call Delay Issue or Samsung Software Trait?

Im not sure if this is a software Issue or Trait of the call software phone program the GN2 is using however I'll try to describe what happens. I bring up the dial pad and input a number and tab the green call key. There is a 8 to 15-20 second delay, the phone makes this toodle doodle doo sound and it starts to ring. When you hang up it makes a descending toodle doodle doo sound. The delays to a active ringing of the party your calling is annoying.
Is anyone else getting these delays on placing a call until it starts ringing?

I get the sound but no delay. Are you using a microcell?

The delay issue has been happening to me since my OG note. I called at&t they blamed wifi connection. So I disconnected from wifi and still the delay. Called Samsung they blamed at&t. I just learned to live with it. When there's a delay I usually hang up call again and I get a faster connection. Fortunately for at&t and Sammy I love the phone too much to return it.

O I see what you are saying. I used to get this with my iphone all the time. I read that the delay had to do with aquiring steady tower connections.

Ive had the same problrm once in a while...i just hang up and redial

Only have this issue in highly populated areas. I'm from a very remote town and my phone works like a champ with no issue. When I'm in the city where the rate of usage is ALOT greater, I find this to occur. So I would have to say this one is on AT&T.....

Is anyone else having this issue...when you make a phone call...there is a very big delay in time before the number called starts to ring or you get the ascending tone. AT&T is of little help. This did NOT occur with any of the previous phones I've had, ( most recent HTC OneX). My son has a New S3, does the same thing.I would venture to say the delay is about 20-30 seconds, before you hear "Ringing".

**RESOLVED ISSUE**

I decided to change out the Simm Card.It dawned on me when I got the
GN2, they used the sim from my HTC OneX. I now have instant connect and almost instant ring.
The people at AT&T are worthless including Samsung support.
