Call Log

Does anyone know how to condense call history of a person in call log. For instance, if I talk to John 10 times today, there is an entry for all 10 calls. I had the instinct before and there would be just one entry for John and I could touch the tab and bring up his history. It's annoying scrolling through all those entrys to find someone I call earlier in the day.
