Call Recorder on LG G Stylo stopped working

I have Call recorder on my LG G Stylo phone and it has been working perfectly. But today I made an important call, and the recording is there, but when I hit play all I get is silence. I have made a couple of test calls since then and I can hear them perfectly. Is there any way I can salvage this recording?

Copy the file to your computer.
If it will play there, you may be able to convert the file to a different format that the phone will play.
If the computer does not play any sound, then the sound data is forever gone.

Which phone recorder are you using?

Call Recorder -- the one whose logo had a green phone on a red circle.
I copied it to my computer and tried Groove Music and Windows Media Player and got dead silence.

Any suggestions on how to keep this from happening again?
